This was the last time I used this pattern before putting it away for a while. I've used it so many times and I simply have too many other nice coat patterns to always just be using the same ones.

I had some brown winter cotton in the cupboard that I bought months ago and finally decided to use it. I've also had my eye on snow-look linen at the fabric shop for quite some time. The emerald green in specific and loved the idea of the dark green and brown hues together. But alas, I missed out on the last bit of green snow-look so had to opt for another dark colour I thought would work well with the brown so, a dark shade of blue had to do.

Measuring the correct distance between button holes.

The finished product. I must say, I'm quite thrilled with the results. It's the best work I've done so far. I made it in one size smaller than my measurements so it would have a slimmer look and because I used winter cotton as lining it's so nice and toasty that I don't need to pile on the layers on the inside and be uncomfortable.

Besides, winter outerwear is what makes the outfit so you don't need to wear anything flashy under the coat or jacket.

I'm a sucker for tie belts. The idea of the pattern's belt seemed nice, but I have a will of tin foil and submitted to my weakness.
